LOD music theatre welcomes Dries Douibi as new artistic director
LOD is delighted to announce Dries Douibi as its new artistic director. This appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter in the rich history of the Ghent-based music theatre company, known for its innovative stage productions. Douibi brings a fresh vision and years of experience to LOD. His expertise and passion for stage creation, both locally and internationally, are exactly what the organization needs at this time. Douibi will start his role at LOD in March and will remain connected to Kunstenfestivaldesarts until May 2026, overseeing his final festival edition there.
A new course for LOD

Dual Leadership
Together with business director Kathleen Treier, Dries Douibi will form a dual leadership of the Ghent music theatre company. This complementary collaboration between artistic and business expertise underwrites LOD’s ambition to further develop as a leading, multidisciplinary, and innovative music theatre company.
